Holi is the
festival of colours. It is one of the most awaited festivals in India. It is
celebrated in the month of March every year. People go wild in this festival.
Boys and girls, having colouring weapons, do not miss a single opportunity to
sprint the colour on passerby. People embrace each other and go to their
relatives and friends.
The festival
of Holi starts a week before on the day of ‘Rangbhari Ekadashi’ (The Colourful
11th). It starts the preparing of Holi festival. Rangbhari Ekadashi is
started with a chant of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ in Kashi Vishwanath temple in
Varanasi. People start sprinting Gulal on each-other in Kashi Vishwanath Temple
on this day. The people start shopping for new clothes, Abeer, and Gulal.
